I think Cultural Proficiency means to have an open mind with people that are different than you and trying to reach them on their level & what makes them confortable, not you. I think too many times we want people to come to us at our level the way we are confortable teaching ar speaking to quickly & not thinking to see if we will make someone feel uneasy
